This week we have put many of the finishing touches onto both our telescoping arm and our car. After receiving our two by two stock we quickly began construction of the inner arm of our telescoping arm. After manufacturing the inner arm and piecing together the puzzle like pieces of the outer arm, we could assemble the arm including the base plate, motor, and release pin. Although we have found some difficulty manufacturing the brackets for the drive train, we have assembled a working car. In the final days before the competition we are looking to improve the alignment of the drive train and attach the belt that will run the MCM. We have had some shipping issues with the belt and are hoping that it will arrive tomorrow. The following pictures summarize this week's progress.
