Our machine concept for the Slotbots II competition consists of two main parts: A robot which drives around the surface of the table and collects balls using a roller, and a telescoping arm which both locks the funnel in our favor as well as providing a second scoring channel. The robotic car uses the roller/brush in front to scoop balls into the hopper, which are then dropped off in the funnel. The telescoping arm, which begins in the upright position, is launched downwards at the beginning of the round to open up the flipper. It has a small ramp which allows balls to be dropped into it, through the arm, and then into our slot scoring channel. In front of this arm is a deployable fence module which can translate left or right to block the opponent's access to our side of the table.
